Thank you, Honda Civic driver...

Thank you, Honda Civic driver. That space between the front of my car and the back of the car in front of me? You know the one... That one that was only 9 inches longer than your car. I really was saving that spot on the road just for you. I absolutely had in mind for you to just shove your car into that space without signaling. Why use a signal? We're all friends, right? And certainly no need to give any other indication at all that you wanted to get into the lane in front of me. No glance over the shoulder or customary lane creep is needed. You just go right ahead and pop in that space. And so when my horn and high beams came on, and my tires made that screeching noise, that was really just a friendly hello. And how nice of you to return the hello with the one finger salute (two finger, really, since you double fisted it out the sunroof). That certainly was an excellent display of "Minnesota Nice", of which your bumper sticker so boldly extolled the virtues. And let's not forget the guy behind me. He was absolutely thrilled too. I'm sure he very much appreciated narrowly missing being rear ended by making an emergency maneuver onto the shoulder. If only he'd stayed in the lane, we'd all have brand new, shiny bumpers and fresh whiplash from your kind gesture. So thank you, driver of that '05-'06ish silver Honda Civic. You are truly God's gift to the roadways.
